The Currencies of Wellness
How Brands Can Shape Everyday Well-being in Unexpected Ways
About the book
The Currencies of Wellness is a practical guide to help brands—wellness and non-wellness alike—understand how their everyday experiences and environments can support accessible, everyday well-being for consumers. A central thread involves the science of neurotransmitters—dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin—and how they influence motivation, happiness, and social connection.
The book highlights unexpected moments of wellness found in ordinary life — from drinking out of copper glassware to hearing birdsong, learning something new, telling a story, mingling, riding in an elevator, or practicing micro-movements and hands-on skills. These experiences map to five core wellness currencies: Nutrients, Play, Comfort, Togetherness, and Legacy.
The tone is lighthearted and informative, aiming to inspire brands to see wellness not as an industry, but as a human need they can authentically support.
